Check out how I felt about these recent purchases after the jump...
May 2012
From Left to Right
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder - I absolutely LOVE this stuff. It was a bit more expensive than I remember but after my brief attempts at using Lorreal True Match powder, I knew that there was no need to veer away from my first love.
Darcy's Botanicals Lemongrass Transitioning Cream and Pumpkin Seed Moisturizer - They were having a sale and I wanted to try this stuff. I haven't tried the pumpkin seed moisturizer yet, but the Lemongrass transitioning cream is alright. I wasn't going out of my way to reach for it, so I doubt that I will repurchase.
Roux Porosity Control - I ran out this in May and I knew I had to repurchase. But I guess it's been a minute since last bought this because the formula I had was a metallic blue color and this new one is now white. As far as I can tell it still does the job, so I'm happy with this repurchase. (Another product that was pricier than I remember).
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation - Good stuff. My bottle now is running low, so this was just a repurchase. I use this year round, but in the summer months and thin it out with moisturizer for a lighter coverage. Two thumbs up!
Elasta QP Recovery Moisturizer - On a whim, I decided to pick this up. It was on sale at Sallys and I'm so glad that I did. Throughout my recent stretch, I was reaching for this on a daily basis to moisturize my new growth and ends. I think this might replace my Hawaiian Silky 14n1 Miracle worker because it doesn't seem to cause product build up.
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer - I bought this by accident, I thought it was the normal acne control moisturizer, but with new packaging. Unfortunately, it's a different line of products and I'm not a fan of it. I've been using it but I'm looking forward to picking up my regular acne control moisturizer when this is done.
Generic Value Products (GVP) Tea Tree Shampoo - Another repurchase. Up until recently I never really cared for shampoos until I met this shampoo. I really like the way that it makes my scalp feel. It's good stuff.
Revlon Lip Gloss (Coral Reef) - I initially thought that it would be more opaque than it actually is but it's this is a pretty sheer color that I put on top of my NYX Matte Lipstick (Sierra) when I want a glossy versus matte lip.
Elasta QP Hair Gloss - I've been using this to seal after moisturizing. Its supposed to be a heat serum but I haven't used it in that capacity as yet.
Wet n Wild Brow Pencil (not pictured) - I don't like this brow pencil. I normally purchase the Milani retractable brow pencil, but for 99 cents, I decided to give Wet n Wild a try. I am not a fan. The pencil is too soft and makes dull lines, even after sharpening. My Milani Pencil lasted me almost a year and I'm sure I'll run through this Wet n Wild Pencil before the end of summer. Definitely will not repurchase. This is now the second time I've been roped into Wet n Wild's low prices and been disappointed.
That's what I bought during the month of May, what did you buy?
