Here's a quick tip to get you to your longer lengths.
Don't pile your hair on top of your head when you wash your hair, like this:
If you do, you are asking for a knotted mess that will lead you down the path to unnecessary breakage* as you struggle to detangle it.
When shampooing your hair I would suggest:
- Messaging your scalp with shampoo while leaving the length of your hair hanging down.
- Then simply let the lather run down the length of your hair.
- And Don't flip your hair upside down in the sink to shampoo it. Instead shampoo in the shower, unless you've got a salon sink where you can have your hair hanging down in its neutral position
*Remember Breakage = thinner hair/ends.
